After a relatively slow start, coronavirus (covid-19) has begun to spread rapidly in Algeria in recent days. As a community, we have begun to count the human cost of the pandemic. We have also started to feel the repercussions on our healthcare services and economic environment, as has been the case elsewhere. This pandemic poses any number of challenges. It impacts all areas of our daily lives and it also has an effect on the choices we make as individuals and as a collective.
These are challenging times. At Itri Insights, it is our strong belief that every individual, company or community must find a way to do their bit, no matter how small or humble.
Unfortunately, Itri Insights has neither doctors nor nurses. We produce neither vaccines nor soap.
But we do produce clear, calm, actionable analysis and information.
And today, we want to make this information available to everyone.
That’s why we created the Algeria covid-19 dashboard.
This free, open access page is available in English and French to anyone looking for the latest information on the spread of coronavirus in Algeria.
This real-time dashboard gives you access to:
- A summary of the most recent statistics on the spread of coronavirus in Algeria
- A timeline of key events
- A breakdown of the latest containment measures and travel restrictions
- A summary of other mitigation measures taken by authorities in Algeria
- Links to other useful websites
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the medical staff, people and institutions that are working tirelessly to ensure that our community here in Algeria – and overseas – can tackle this crisis as best we can.
We urge you to take care of yourselves and of those who are dear to you. We may be physically further apart, but we remain, always, united by our efforts.
